A vehicle mount task light with a 6 inch gooseneck attached to the top of a 1 by 1 by 3 inch chassis, which lifts it clear of the surface. A dimmer sits on the chassis and a 20 inch bonded pair wire leaves the bottom for hardwired installation. It runs on 8 to 24 VDC with constant current dimming, drawing 150 mA at 12 volts for 1.5 watts, and gives 398 lux at 12 inches at 4000K with 85 Ra color rendering and 60,000 hours average life.
