The U 89 i is a universal studio microphone that pairs a K 89 dual-diaphragm capsule with classic transformer-coupled electronics, giving five selectable patterns: omnidirectional, wide-angle cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid and figure-8. A two-stage low cut switches between linear, 80 Hz and 160 Hz, and a 6 dB pad handles extreme levels. Balanced XLR 3-pin output, 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Satin nickel, supplied in a wooden box.
