Neumann WS 81

A windscreen made out of open-cell polyurethane foam for the KMR 81 i shotgun microphone. It removes interfering noises caused by close range sounds, wind and fast movements of the microphone boom, and it does not cause interfering resonances or influence the directional pattern. Wind noise attenuation is 15 dB, measured without electrical filtering in a turbulent air stream at 20 km/h, with 2 dB attenuation at 15 kHz. It measures 195 mm long and 50 mm in diameter, in black.
