Neumann WS 89

A windscreen made from open-cell polyurethane foam that eliminates interfering noises caused by close range sounds, wind and fast movements of the microphone boom. It does not cause interfering resonances and does not influence the directional pattern, the only side effect being slightly attenuated output at higher frequencies. Wind noise attenuation is 27 dB, measured without electrical filtering in a turbulent air stream at 20 km/h, with attenuation at 15 kHz of approximately 3 dB. Diameter is 90 mm, in black, for the U 89 and TLM 193.
