The glide platform rides on rails above the controller so a laptop sits directly over the battle-layout decks rather than off to the side, which keeps the REV7's motorized platters clear for scratching. Wheels take the weight of a loaded case off your back at load-in. Do not transport with gear left on the glide platform, and note that the platform lifts free once slid to its furthest point.
