sE Electronics RF-X

The RF-X is a portable reflection filter designed to reduce room reflections and background noise during vocal recording. It uses a four-layer acoustic design, an outer vented composite panel, a wool fabric layer, an air gap, and an inner acoustic foam layer, that filters frequencies evenly across the spectrum for minimal sound coloration. The lightweight vented body pairs with a redesigned clamp assembly that allows adjustment of microphone distance and height relative to the filter, and the unit is hand-made at sE's own factory. It weighs approximately 5 lbs and mounts vertically only.
