The X1 S is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone built around a hand-crafted, individually tuned custom 1-inch capsule with high-performance electronics in an all-metal chassis. It handles up to 160 dB SPL, with maximum SPL ratings of 140, 150, and 160 dB using its 0, -10, and -20 dB attenuation pad settings, and includes two selectable low-cut filters at 80Hz and 160Hz to control rumble and proximity effect. It suits vocals, drums, overheads, acoustic and electric guitar, strings, piano, and woodwinds, and comes with a mounting clip.
