A 24" x 24" aluminum utility top plate, 1/2" thick, in black. It bolts across the top of 290mm, 12" or 20.5" straight truss and gives a flat, solid deck for mounting gear that has no business hanging from a clamp — moving lights on base, projectors, amplifier and A/V racks, camera and sensor packages. Half-inch aluminum keeps the plate rigid across the two-foot span without adding the weight of a steel plate, and the black finish keeps it out of the shot.
