An 8-foot section of 14 by 24 inch pre-rig truss, supplied in black. Pre-rig truss exists to buy back hang time: fixtures stay mounted inside the truss profile between shows and travel in their own cart, so the truss comes off the truck, gets pinned together, and goes up with the lights already in place. The 14 by 24 inch rectangular section is the standard pre-rig profile, sized to enclose conventional fixtures between the chords. Eight feet is the common stick length for matching truck-pack widths.
