A 22 by 22 inch steel base plate with a 9mm thick flat top plate mounted on a 1-inch raised frame and fitted with a welded 1.5-inch schedule 40 flange. The raised frame lifts the plate off the deck so cable can pass underneath rather than around it and so the plate is easier to get a hand or a fork under when moving it. The schedule 40 flange takes a standard pipe or truss upright for lighting towers, drape frames and small ground-support positions. Steel gives you dead weight in a compact footprint, which is the whole job of a base plate.
