A 24-inch square steel base plate mounted on a 2-inch raised frame rather than sitting flat on the deck. The raised frame does two useful things — it lifts the plate so cable can pass underneath instead of being pinched flat, and it gives you somewhere to get a hand or a strap under a plate this heavy. The plate itself is 9mm steel. Used as a foot for truss towers, lighting columns, and pipe uprights where the extra footprint over a 19-inch plate is worth the weight.
