A Theatre Series base plate, 30 by 30 inches with a 9mm-thick steel top plate and two 1-1/2 inch schedule 40 flanges welded to its face. The flanges accept standard schedule 40 pipe, so side-light booms, drape uprights, or a pipe with a brace drop straight in with no adapters, which is the arrangement stagehands expect in a theatre. The 30-inch footprint gives more resistance to tipping than the smaller plates in the line. Casters are available as an option if the plate needs to roll between scene changes.
