The BETA 98H/C is a premium cardioid condenser instrument microphone that clamps onto the bell of wind instruments or the rim of a drum. Transformerless preamplifier circuitry improves linearity, and the cardioid pattern gives high gain before feedback with strong off-axis rejection. High maximum SPL handling suits brass, woodwind, and percussion. It uses a 3 m high-flex cable with attached preamplifier on XLR, an integrated shock mount, and a ratcheting swivel joint with angle brace for fixed placement.
