Shure MX180/N Lavalier Microphone Housing, In-Line Preamp with XLR, *No Cartridge

The Shure MX180/N is a lavalier microphone housing with an in-line preamp terminating in an XLR connector, supplied without a cartridge. The electret bias condenser design accepts interchangeable Shure Microflex cartridges such as the R183B omnidirectional, R184B supercardioid, and R185B cardioid, letting installers choose the polar pattern for the application. The compact housing suits speech capture in presentations, conferencing, and installed sound systems where the pickup pattern is specified separately.
