The Shure MX400DP is a small desktop base for mounting Microflex miniature gooseneck microphones such as the MX405, MX410, and MX415. It houses a switched preamplifier, a logic enabled LED, and a programmable mute switch that can be set to push to mute, push to talk, logic, or local operation. A low cut filter and CommShield technology are built in, and a 20 foot XLR cable is attached. It supports both standard and light ring microphones.
