The MX412S/N is a Microflex standard gooseneck microphone with a 12 inch (30.5 cm) neck, supplied without a cartridge so the installer can select the polar pattern. The S version adds a mute switch and LED indicator at the base. It has an attached preamplifier with balanced transformerless XLR output, a shock mount giving over 20 dB of isolation from surface vibration, a locking flange mount, snap-fit foam windscreen, and CommShield RF filtering.
