The MX418S/N is a Microflex standard gooseneck condenser microphone with an 18 inch gooseneck, supplied without a cartridge so the polar pattern can be selected separately. It includes an attached preamp with XLR output, a locking flange mount, a snap fit foam windscreen, a mute switch with LED indicator, and a shock mount giving over 20 dB of isolation from surface vibration noise. The balanced transformerless output resists noise over long cable runs.
